With the help of the marketing and product team, I created future-thinking designs that envisioned what the mobile Side app would look like in 2026. The final product of the promotional video is below.
PROBLEM
New industry rules required real estate agents to create buyer agreements for all new clients but users did not have an easy way to generate them in the platform
Previously, these agreements were a “nice to have” and not many agents used them. A lawsuit settlement with the National Association of Realtors in 2024 allowed agents to change their commission and fee structure, so buyer agreements became a "must have" inside the app.
PLANNING + RESEARCH
First, I created and sent a survey to our user testing program participants to better understand their current buyer agreement usage on a larger scale.
I then held user interviews with existing users to understand how they currently leverage buyer agreements and what their plan would be moving forward once the NAR settlement went into effect.
Once we had several designs ready, I held user testing sessions with a clickable prototype to get feedback on the interactions and content/messaging to ensure the solution worked for different agents in different markets.

Design System Upgrades
I helped upgrade the design system with brand new components for tables, tile buttons, and card layouts for the new form builder.
